All the weight of a studio Reformer. None of the heavy lifting.
The Original FÔLD Reformer is the world’s first spring-assisted folding Reformer, built from solid maple or oak. Award-winning (x4) and loved in thousands of UK homes.
At a glance
- Easi-FOLD™: our patent-pending, spring-assisted folding system. Two springs take the load, so almost anyone can fold the 75kg frame in one smooth movement.
- Solid hardwood frame: Hard Maple or Red Oak, not aluminium or rubberwood. Planted, quiet and steady under every movement.
- Stores upright: folds to 65 x 80 x 126.5cm and wheels away on built-in wheels.
- Ready to train: free two-person delivery to the room of your choice, a Reformer Starter Kit and 3 months’ FÔLD app membership.
Why the weight matters
Weight is what makes a Reformer feel like a studio Reformer: planted, stable and steady under every movement. Ours comes from solid Hard Maple or Red Oak rather than aluminium or rubberwood. Maple scores 1,450 lbf and oak 1,290 lbf on the Janka hardness scale, against around 960 lbf for rubberwood, so the frame stays grounded, quiet and true, session after session. Why we use real American hardwoods.
How Easi-FOLD™ works
That same weight is what makes most folding Reformers hard to fold. Easi-FOLD™ uses two springs to take the load, so you fold and unfold the full 75kg frame in one smooth, controlled movement. No motors. No gas struts. No batteries. Just two springs and some very smart engineering.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Original FÔLD Reformer need assembling?
Only lightly. First set-up takes about 15 minutes with the Allen key supplied: lift off the carriage, unfold the frame, refit the carriage and footbar, and hook on the springs. We recommend two people for lifting the carriage, and you'll find a set-up video from our Head of Pilates on our Getting started page.
Will it fit through my doors and up my stairs?
Your Reformer arrives in a box measuring 136 x 64 x 56cm and weighing 83kg. Our two-person team carries it into the room of your choice, up to two flights of stairs. If you have narrow stairways, a lift or tricky access, let us know before delivery.
Does it stand up on its own when folded?
Yes. Folded, the Original FÔLD Reformer stands securely upright with the carriage attached, so it doesn't need to lean against a wall. It measures 65 x 80 x 126.5cm and rolls on wheels designed not to scrape or mark your floors.
How do I look after my Reformer?
Wipe the upholstery after every session with natural soap diluted in water, sprayed onto a cloth. Wipe the springs with a little WD-40 on a cloth each week and dust the rails. Check the screws and polish the wood with beeswax once a month. Never use bleach, oils or alcohol-based cleaners on the upholstery, and leave one red spring attached when it's not in use.
Can I buy replacement springs and parts?
Yes. Replacement springs are sold individually in red, green or yellow as the FÔLD Single Spring. For any other part, email hello@foldreformer.com with your order number and a photo.
